HOWICK GOLF CLUB
Congratulations to Lisa Nagel and Pippa Griffin. These ladies are our super stars and did an amazing job of representing the Umgeni Waterfall Bowling Club (UWBC) at the KZN Preliminary Masters Singles this past weekend.
They each had a game on Saturday that ended in a tie breaker which was so exciting to watch! Unfortunately play was stopped at the beginning of the third round due to a sudden hailstorm but by the end of the day Lisa finished with one win and one loss whilst Pippa finished two games down.
They were back on the greens on Sunday morning where they both won their first and second games of the day, followed by a loss on their third games.
Overall, Lisa came third in her section having won three out of five games
Pippa’s section had two withdrawals on Sunday morning, so her Saturday games fell away. Overall Pippa came second in her section with two wins out of three games.
Well done to both and thank you to those members who were able to make it on the days to show support.

The 3 Ball Alliance held at Howick Golf Club on Wednesday, November 2 was won by Eric Lewis, Geoff Logan and (S) Howard Reeves (46).
In second place were: Colin Van Biljon, Roy Laatz and (S) Howard Reeves (44).
On Saturday, November 5, the club hosted the Troy MNF Shield and 3 Ball Alliance, sponsored by Troy Manufacturing.
The winner was Clive Bromilow (71), with Colin Burden (73) finishing in second.
The 3 Ball Alliance competition was won by Sharron Hughes, Colin Burden and Albert Loveday (43 C/I).
