SAKABULA GOLF COURSE

We think May is the best month on our golf course and it seems golfers agree! Clear skies, green grass and trees covered in autumn foliage, make for a pleasant day out on the course. We love seeing whole families coming out to play golf together, or using the driving range and practice putting area.

Cutting and bailing of the rough and what used to be the first nine, is progressing rapidly and winter preparations are well under way on the course.

From May 1, we have moved to winter timing and the first tee time is now at 8am. By 5.30pm the light fades fast and golfers need to have completed their round by 5.15pm at the latest on weekends and by 4.30pm in the week.

Seniors welcome golfers who would like to join them in their game, which is played on a Monday starting at 8am.

Visitors are welcome on any day, at any time, but we do suggest that golf carts are reserved in advance, should you want one for your round, as there are only a limited number available at any one time.

We are slowly increasing the number of carts available for hire, with the refurbishing is coming along nicely.

The renovation of our Clubhouse is progressing at a slow but steady pace and the fire place should be fully operational again, come winter.

We are looking forward to the completion of the improvements and upgrading of the area, which will operate as a venue for golf and other functions.

Winter gives us the perfect opportunity to do necessary maintenance of equipment and buildings and makes a nice change from constantly cutting grass!
