Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition)
Join in Disney’s Peter Pan celebrations
DISNEY is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the popular children’s story Peter Pan with the release of a special diamond edition, on DVD and, for the first time, on Blu-ray.
It is a story about Wendy Darling’s last night in the nursery bedroom. Her father, George, says it’s time for her to grow up and stop telling wild stories about Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, to her younger brothers John and Michael.
Not long after her parents leave for a party, Peter Pan flits through the nursery window.
He offers to take Wendy to his island, where she can tell stories and be a mother to the Lost Boys. Wendy awakens her siblings, John and Michael. With a happy thought and pixie dust from Tinker Bell, the three Darlings learn to fly and head for Never Land
On their way to the island, they come across Captain Hook, Peter’s one-handed arch-enemy.
