US presidential visit

-

Welcome to SA, President Obama. The vast majority of us are proud of you. Do not take any notice of the ridiculous extremists.

South Africa has no right to ask President Obama to rescind his decision to cut US Aids funding to Africa when South Africa alone loses over R300 billion a year in the cost of road carnage to our economy, yet fails to save most of this by implementing tried and proven basic road safety measures. To put it bluntly, we don’t deserve foreign help when we refuse to help ourselves.

As an American living in SA few South Africans know much of the truth about President Obama, whose ideology would allow him to comfortably fit right in with the SACP. Never in US history has one man been so partisan, divisive, dishonest, and so out of touch. He is currently embroiled in four major scandals while presiding over a flat economy produced by his $7 trillion of debt spending while monetising that same debt. His lasting legacy will be an economy that crashes. Perhaps they will put his portrait on the US’s bounced check! – Informed American

Hear, hear! This constant drivel from Shafiq Morton and company on the US and the West is pathetic. – Mike C

Shafiq Morton disregard your critics because the truth always hurts.

Shafiq Morton is a convert to Islam. President Obama is a convert to Christianity. You do the maths. – S Adams

Obama’s honorary doctorate to be conferred by the University of Johannesburg is in honour of the US veto giving cover to Israel’s war crimes in the occupied Palestinian Territories. – Naushad Omar.
