Phase 3 of Maitland affordable housing units now ready for sale
THE CAPE Town Community Housing Company has released the third phase at its Mountain View Villas development in Maitland, and IHPC has been mandated to sell the units in this phase.
According to Nareema Peters and Fachmeeda Francis, the IHPC agents handling the sales here, the units are likely to go quickly.
The location of this development couldn’t have been chosen better, they say.
The units available are priced from R299 000 for the studio apartments to R429 000 for two- bedroomed apartments, and all the transaction costs are included in the purchase price.
The studios are 27m² in size, one-bedroomed units are 37m², and the two-bedroomed units have 50m to 56m ² of floor space.
The apartments in this development are built in two storey walk-ups and the buildings are positioned to make the best use of the land available to allow for parking bays for each unit and paved areas with trees in-between, say the agents.
“Mountain View Villas’ central position just off Royal berg Road, it will cut down considerably on commuting time whether you are going north or south.
“In addition, Mountain View Villas is close to public transport, clinics and a 10minute drive from Century City. Units here would also be a good investment as start- up homes for buyers earning between R9 500 and R18 000 (single and joint incomes).”
The perimeter of the development is secure and it has access control at the entrance and exit.
Bathrooms will have showers and baths. As with all new developments, certain energy saving devices, such as solar geysers and LED lighting, will be fitted to each unit, which will cut down on electricity costs.
