‘Sold out’ sign goes up at Waterberry

-

THE WATERBERRY residential development at Century City was sold out a week before construction started on site.

Project manager Miguel Rodrigues says the 43 flats were sold for a total of R71.945 million, and the last eight units were snapped up in a week.

Waterberry is to be handed over in the third quarter of next year. It is the first phase of the R270m Ashton Park residential development which is being built on a site next to the Curro Private School, which opened in January.

The development consists of one-, two- and three-bedroomed flats, ranging in price from R1.195m to R2.695m and in size from 87m² to 192m², including balconies.

Rodrigues says the Water- berry apartments are bigger than those in earlier developments because the developer, considering the proximity of the school, anticipated there would be a large number of owner- occupiers, including families. The sales have confirmed this.

Rodrigues says the spurt of sales at Waterberry followed the launch of Silvertree, phase two of Ashton Park, which is now selling.

Silvertree will comprise 31 one-, two- and three- bedroomed units and one four bedroomed double- storey penthouse. The flats range in size from 87m² to 287m², including balconies. Flats are selling for between R1.185m and R2.385m, including VAT, and the penthouse is priced at R3.995m. The two- and three-bedroomed flats will have two basement parking bays each. There is one bay for one-bedroomed flats.

These prices represent an ave r a g e s e l l i n g p r i c e o f R15 555/ m ² , including balconies, says Rodrigues.

All units at Ashton Park will have access to Century City Connect’s fibre optic system and will have an individually metered hot water supply from centralised bulk hot water storage heated by heat pumps.

Ashton Park is being developed by the Rabie Property Group and financed by Nedbank Cor porate Property Finance. It will provide 138 flats in four sectional title blocks and seven villas.
