Politics

To the ANC parliamentarians and Zuma, you can also be like Mmusi Maimane. I know he will go places with his intellect and foresight.

Mrs Maimane, that is one handsome guy you’re married to. And he is intelligent and educated and, to crown it all, God-fearing. Thanks DA. Now we can go forward to 2019 with President Maimane.

Malema, I get a lot of calls from overseas asking me about you. They ask who you are and I just tell them you are a newcomer with a low education who never qualified, and that you are out to make money for yourself. Some said they would cancel their support for the poor.

Malema: I know the song Lady in Red but what you present in Parliament is “clowns in red”. You just show a lack of knowledge of politics. You could easily make fun in a kindergarten.

So the premier is excluded from the gender equality law. If a male boss employs mainly males on merit, he is sexist and is ordered to reform, but a female can employ as many males as she likes – such hypocrisy.

As an observer I read a lot. What I read is that political parties are gearing up to lock horns with each other for the next five years. Should they not lock horns to improve the lives of all South Africans? miners, but since the killings, that support stops. Now the mines should fire the lot before this madness drags the country further down the road of economic stagnation. – Realist

The miners forget there are millions of unemployed ready to take over their jobs. entertainment and certainly does not deserve to be on the comedy channel.

SABC must have got the Andre Rieu tapes for free. There’s no other explanation for the constant repeats since November last year. It’s 100 percent Eurocentric and not a black face to be seen. Surprising screening.

How can DStv air a programme like American Daredevils with the drivers we have?

Troops

I do not understand why Western governments allow their troops to be endangered in Africa. It makes no sense because you will never rid Africa of violence.

Gone are the days of the SANDF turning out good disciplined soldiers from Oudtshoorn infantry school. Our military is a farce.

America only assists when it will be beneficial for them. If you are so impressed with America why don’t you go stay there instead of being so dismissive towards Africa.

Who invited America? They invited themselves and, by the way, they are colonialists by nature.

Sport

To the Prof who wrote in last weekend claiming quotas may be a contributor to SA rugby’s poor performance: the Sharks only started winning against the Crusaders when two white people were taken off, and almost half the Sharks on the field were black.

South African players who turn their backs on their international duty personify a lack of respect and commitment to the nation. They don’t deserve the right to play international competitions as they are just not good enough. Soccer in South Africa is a farce and should be featured on the comedy channel.

What a disgrace Bafana, that Safa allows players to dictate to it. It’s pathetic. Gordon, start selecting the best players irrespective of colour and we will get somewhere; unfortunately we know you are being dictated to. What a disgrace, we are the laughing stock of the soccer world. Yet again politics is to blame. The rest of Africa has overtaken us.

With all these messages you receive on cellphones saying you have won millions, which is a definite scam, why don’t the police track them down using Rica? The US and Interpol managed to track down those behind the 419 cyber scam recently. – Gerry, Richwood.

Boko Haram, your days are numbered.

Thank you Jaques le Roux and your team for all you do for township animals. Please supply details for us to donate. – Jennifer
