Win double set of tickets to Taste fest

-

THE Taste Of Cape Town festival takes place from next Friday, April 10, until Sunday, April 12, at the Green Point Cricket Club. And 20 lucky Fun Finder readers stand a chance of winning double tickets to the event.

“Our eighth year promises to be more festive than ever, with loads of new features, a collection of delicious restaurants and, of course, the sun, sea and mountain that make Taste of Cape Town so iconic,” said festival director Justine Drake.

The format of the festival is popup restaurants, along with several top restaurants from around the Mother City serving starter-size portions of signature or specially created dishes to showcase what they are all about. Other highlights include a variety of classes and demonstrations, and exciting culinary products.

As always, the Taste Of Cape Town operates on an official festival currency known as crowns. Festivalgoers use these crowns to purchase their dishes and drinks from exhibitors and bars. Each Taste of Cape Town crown is worth R5, and prices range from four to eight crowns per dish.

Standard tickets pre-booked cost R80, which includes entrance to the festival and a tasting glass (R100 at the door); premium tickets prebooked cost R180 and include entrance to the festival, a tasting glass and R100 worth of crowns (R200 at the door); and the Taste Clubhouse Experience for R750 includes fast-track entrance to the festival, a tasting glass, crowns worth R150, and a complimentary bar service (malt, wine and soft drinks) in a private clubhouse, as well as a Taste of Cape Town gift. Children under 12 enter for free. Tickets are available at www.itickets.co.za or call iTickets on 0861 000 291. For more information go to www.tasteofcapetown.com.
