NGOKOMZEKE­LISO WAKHE, at the Artscape Heritage Festival, is hosting a dialogue titled Connecting Creatives on Heritage Day. As part of this platform, on Thursday September 24, 3.30pm,and September 26, at noon, the Artscape tunnel (mural area between the complex and Civic Centre parking) will become the backdrop for Ngokomzeke­liso Wakhe ( In His Image) –a performanc­e art installati­on by multi award winner Chuma Sopotela. She explores “the moulding of a person by using the elements of sand and water to symbolise life” and investigat­es “how a body can be reshaped by fire”. Admission is free. THE SUNSHINE BOYS. Neil Simon’s play, staged on Broadway in 1972 and subsequent­ly adapted for film and television, is on at the Masque from September 4-12. It was inspired by a pair of vaudevilli­ans who hardly spoke to each other off stage. Nigel Stevenson is directing for Fish Hoek Dramatic Society. Tickets R70/R80. Book on 021 788 1898.
