2 arrested with 20 bags of dagga

TWO men were arrested in Philippi East for alleged possession of 20 bags of dagga worth about R600 000, police said yesterday.

Flying squad officers were patrolling the R300 yesterday when they received information about a suspicious Toyota Quantum minibus, police spokesman Captain FC van Wyk said.

Two men, aged 34 and 40, were arrested after a search was conducted. Cash of R1 490 was also seized. The men will appear in Philippi Magistrate’s Court soon. – Weekend Argus Reporter
