The curriculum structure and activities reflect our belief that each learner’s intellectual, aesthetic, physical, moral and social growth is best developed in an environment characterised by a balance between academic challenges and enriching cultural and social opportunities. The appreciation of different cultures and a genuine understanding and tolerance of every person is fostered.

Within an environment, characterised by high expectations and respect for excellence in all areas, we prepare learners for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life in an increasingly technological society. The development of a balanced personality requires involvement in other spheres of college life. Therefore, participation in sport, cultural activities, associations, clubs and outreach initiatives provide learners with opportunities for leadership and character development, establishing valid standards and social codes.

Parklands College is a progressive place of teaching and learning, having fully embraced the integration of technology in order to provide a richly layered learning environment preparing our learners for the 21st century. Academic staff design and deliver stimulating learning activities that nurture children’s natural curiosity, creativity and innovation. This progression is also evident in the wide scope of subjects, courses and programmes avail- able to our learners, many leading to international certifications.

We make use of Apple, Google Apps, Microsoft and other technologies to provide a unique multimedia learning facility. Robotics as a subject, has been integrated into the curriculum from Grade 1 and opportunities to further explore programming is available throughout the school. Parklands College continues to explore new and emerging technologies in order to remain a leader in technology in education.
