Dear Breeder: In this musical comedy at the Kalk Bay Theatre from Tuesday to April 2, Karen Logan and Kaia Vosloo flip characters – between three very different South African mothers – trying to keep it together. They have drawn from their experiences of being mothers. As we breeders know, often it is prudent to just laugh when parenting gets hectic. The production has toured the country, garnering a number of awards such as a Standard Bank Ovation Award and best new South African script and best comedy performance (female) at the Durban Theatre Awards. Logan and Vosloo quip that they wrote the script “on the playground and in between bites of Barney-iced cupcakes”. Tickets are R125. Book at www.kalkbaytheatre .co.za or call 021 788 7257.
