Developer sets sights on charming Crawford

-

BURNLEY Road, Crawford, in the south-eastern suburbs will soon be home to a new private development consisting of four double-storey homes, and Greeff Properties, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate has a sole mandate to market and sell the properties.

“There’s a relentless demand for homes in the southeastern suburbs and stock is thin on the ground, so we expect a good response to this development,” says Greeff Properties chief executive, Mike Greeff.

These architect-designed homes will have four bedrooms with built-in cupboards, a main en suite and a family bathroom. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs and the fourth is downstairs with an adjacent bathroom, making it ideal for guest or granny accommodation. The kitchen is open plan to the dining and living rooms. Finishes include Caesarstone countertops, tiled kitchen and bathroom floors and laminate flooring in the bedrooms and living spaces.

Each unit has a two-car tandem garage, an enclosed court- yard and a solar-powered geyser. The price is R2.35 million.

“There is a strong sense of community in Crawford and these units are ideal for families, or young professionals who want to be close to the local amenities including coffee shops, Kenilworth Centre, Access Park, schools and mosques,” says Greeff.

“A growing demand for rentals also makes this development a good investment, as returns and capital appreciation are highly likely given the average selling price statistics.

Greeff says that Propstats figures for the last six months in Crawford reveal a growth of 23 percent in the average selling price of free- standing homes compared to prices for the previous six months.
