Online auction of Telkom properties around South Africa
AN ONLINE auction of Telkom properties across the country opens March 29 at 2pm, closing 2pm the next day, says Kim Faclier, Managing Director, Property: GoIndustry Dovebid South Africa (Pty) Ltd.
This is the 15th auction GoIndustry is holding on behalf of Telkom. The company has sold more than R700 million worth of property for various corporate clients, parastatals and institutions, and has opened access for each sale through its proprietary software and website to a targeted and relevant audience of international bidders.
The explosive growth in the property division resulted in the company being awarded SA’s National Business Fast Growth Award 2015.
The Telkom properties on offer include:
● Erf 2907, a 3 162m² property with 540m2 of improvements in an industrial area along Anthony Street in Ross Kent North, Odendaalsrus. The surrounding neighbourhood mainly consists of offices, workshops and warehousing as well as various open fields and unimproved stands.
● Erf 22972 in Mdantsane Access Road, Wilsonia, East London – accessible from Scenery Park Road, a large industrial area in East London. The surrounding neighbourhood comprises mainly factories, warehousing, storage facilities and workshops. Faclier says access to the property is good, from the nearby national roads and main feeder roads. The 19 493m² site has improvements of 3 119m² and is zoned Industrial Zone 1.
● In Uitenhage, there are three erven for sale close to the lower central industrial area, just off the CBD area. All three sites are portions of Erf 8994, Uitenhage, surrounded by a variety of industrial and residential buildings close to the VW factory.
● Erf 31111 is a 15 164m² site with 333m2 of improvements; Erf 31112 is a 16 597m² site, and the proposed remainder of Erf 8994, Uitenhage is 7 876m² with improvements of 978m²,
● Proposed remainder of Erf 4621 and Portion 2 of Erf 2116, Bloemfontein are in the industrial area of Hamilton, south of the Bloemfontein CBD.
“Access to the property is good, by means of nearby Church Street an arterial route leading to the N6. The area is close to the Bloemfontein CBD and within a radius of about 7km of all major amenities,” says Faclier. The 59 352 m2 site has improvements or 16 335m² and the zoning is General Industrial.
● The last property for sale is Portion 1 of Erf 2708, Heidelberg in Gauteng. The 4 608 m² site is along Strydom Street, Heidelberg and the surrounding neighbourhood mainly consists of residential and retail properties. This property is zoned RSA.
