Big deal sparkles
PETRA Diamonds Limited announced yesterday the exceptional 121,26 carat white diamond recovered at the Cullinan Mine outside Pretoria had sold for $6 million R87m).
The transaction was part of the company’s June sales process in Johannesburg.
The stone has been bought by a joint venture comprising Nemesis International and Golden Yellow Diamonds, two leading manufacturers who specialise in large diamonds.

It has a diversified portfolio, with interests in eight producing mines in South Africa and Tanzania, and an exploration programme in Botswana.
