Snake rattles passengers on a train

-

SYDNEY: Passengers on a commuter train got a shock when a young man pulled a 1m python out of his backpack to explain why the pack was wriggling, Australian police said on Wednesday.

Some passengers were concerned for the welfare of the snake and called the police who met the 20-yearold man at Woy Woy station, 80km north of Sydney.

He admitted he did not have a permit for the python, which can grow to more than 2m.

Police confiscated the snake and asked experts from a nearby reptile park to examine it– ANA-dp
