Race hate up in UK
LONDON: British police say there have been almost 6 200 hate crimes reported in the last month after the vote to leave the EU in a referendum where immigration had been a key issue.
Since June 16, hate crimes had increased and police said 6 193 offences had been reported, with the most common being harassment, assault and other attacks, such as verbal abuse or spitting.
Muslims and Eastern Europeans say they have been targeted since the vote.
