Win fabulous prizes to treat your wonderful mom

NEXT month is Mother’s Day and even though we should be honouring our wonderful moms every day of the year, it’s the perfect opportunity to make her feel even more special. That’s why Weekend Argus is teaming up with Sun International for a competition with some fabulous prizes, which will launch next weekend.

Golden Valley Casino & Lodge, the Grand Hotel at GrandWest, and The Table Bay are offering stayovers as well as some surprise treats for lucky winners including spa treatments and gifts.

Golden Valley is just over an hour’s drive from Cape Town in the picturesque Breede Valley, where it is surrounded by natural fynbos.

Facilities include a lovely pool area, two restaurants, gaming, and a spa. It is offering a two-night midweek stay including breakfast for two adults and two children under 12, as well as a spa voucher.

Graham Beck Wines in nearby Robertson is adding a bottle of Brut Rose vintage and a Glass Act tasting.

GrandWest is offering a mind-boggling array of activities and restaurants. The Grand Hotel at GrandWest Casino And Entertainment World is inviting two adults for a two-night midweek stay including breakfast and an R800 dinner voucher for any restaurant in the complex. The runner-up will get a Magic Company voucher pack for two adults and two children which includes 3D movies, ice skating, ten pin bowling, and laser tag.

One of South Africa’s most lux- urious hotels, with breathtaking views, Sun International’s The Table Bay on the V&A Waterfront has a reputation of being “The Best Address in Cape Town”. An overnight midweek stay for two adults and two children under 12 in a superior luxury family room, including breakfast, is on the cards here. Cotton On will give the winning mom a jersey of her choice from its store in the Watershed.

The runner-up will be treated to a Mother’s Day lunch – excluding beverages – on May 14, for two adults and two children under 12.

Every weekend from April 22 until May 7 we will run a story about one of these hotels, in which clues will be hidden. On the final day, we will ask three questions based on those clues. You will have to make sure you have and keep your copy of Weekend Argus because that’s the only place you’ll find these answers!

We will also ask you to tell us, in 100 words or less, why your mother is the best in the world and why she should win a prize.

There will, of course, be terms and conditions, which will be published each week, and entrants will have to specify for which hotel prize they are entering.
