Aid work put on ice

-

DAKAR: Five international aid agencies have temporarily suspended their operations in northern Central African Republic due to attacks on aid workers by armed groups, the UN said yesterday.

It said workers had been attacked in the country’s Ouham region on 16 occasions since March.

“It is one of the most dangerous and difficult countries for humanitarian work,” said the Office for the Co-ordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
