Brangelina’s divorce called off
LOS ANGELES: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly called off their divorce after he “got sober to try to win her back”.
Jolie filed for divorce last September after Brad allegedly attacked his son Maddox.
Pitt has fiercely denied these claims, but told GQ magazine in May that he had a drinking problem.
He spoke about child custody issues and said he had been working with Jolie as “no one wins in court”.
After months of inactivity, sources said the couple have put their separation on hold.
An insider told US Weekly: “The divorce is off. They haven’t done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to. He’s got sober to try and win her back.
“He knew he had a problem that he had to take care of. And that’s all she ever wanted.”
The pair have been together since 2007 and married for two years. They met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith 13 years ago. He was still married to Friends star Jennifer Anniston.
The couple have six children: Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Despite moving into a Los Angeles mansion in June without her husband, Jolie is still said to be “in love” with Pitt.
She recently said she is thankful they can remain civil for the children’s sake, telling Vanity Fair: “(Our lifestyle) was not in any way a negative.
“That is and will remain one of the wonderful opportunities we were able to give our children. It’s just been the hardest time and we’re just kind of coming up for air.”
In May, Pitt told GQ: “I can’t remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff or something… I’m really, really happy to be done with all of that.” – Daily Mail
