Success leads to second Saturday appliance sale
Demo models and audio items on offer
FOLLOWING the success of its first Saturday auction, which was introduced at the request of potential bidders unable to attend auctions on weekdays, Bidway Auction House will host another Saturday auction at 11am on August 19.
The auction will be held its premises at 179 Albert Road in Woodstock.
The auction floor will be filled with top quality household appliances including side-by-side combination fridge/freezers, front-loader washing machines and dishwashers, eye-level ovens, gas stoves and microwaves, says auctioneer Stef Olivier, who heads the auction house.
Also on auction will be an extensive range of home theatre sound systems, hi-fis and flatscreen television sets ranging in size from 32” to 65”.
Olivier says prospective buyers can inspect and test the items on the auction floor on the viewing day, enabling them to assess the condition of the goods before bidding.
“Most of the items on our auction floor are demonstration models or scratch-and-dent stock which, in some cases, is still in the original packaging,” says Olivier.
Household furniture will also be on the auction floor, including double beds, sleeper couches, side tables and coffee tables, he says.
The auction items can be viewed at Bidway’s Woodstock premises between 9am and 4pm on August 18.
Olivier says: “We try to make our auctions as accessible as possible to potential bidders, providing plenty of parking at our premises on the auction day, and making it easy to register for the auction.”
