Invest in 4-star bush lodge near Joburg

-

A FOUR-star bush lodge in Greylingstad, just an hour’s drive from Johannesburg, will be brought to auction on August 30 by Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

The farm, Badgerleur Bush lodge, spans 1 053.50 ha and is “a world-class tourist destination”, says Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions Western Cape.

“Visitors are treated to luxurious accommodation, game drives, bush walks, horseback safari riding and fishing, among other things. There are more than 1 000 free-roaming game animals.”

Jovanovski says the farm offers a new owner opportunities to unlock local and international markets by offering an out-ofthe-ordinary venue.

The new owner would have to re-employ the staff currently working there.

The auction will be by silent tender, with written offers to be submitted in sealed envelopes. Tenders will close at noon on August 30. The reserve price for the property is R50million but all offers will be reviewed. No transfer duty will be payable.

No registration fee is required to bid. However, the buyer must pay a deposit of 5% of the purchase price, as well as 10% commission plus VAT over and above the purchase price on the seller’s acceptance of the bid. Bidders are required to be registered and must have with them certified copies of their identity documents and proof of residence.

All offers must be submitted on Rawson Auctions’ Offer to Purchase form. Copies can be obtained by contacting info@ rawsonauctions.com or calling 021 837 1700. Deliver bids to Rawson at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch.
