WITH Rugby Sevens hitting fever pitch in Green Point this weekend, there are plenty of other thrills to be had elsewhere in the city.
Shimmy Beach Club in the V & A Waterfront precinct presents Afrikaans Rocks this evening from 5pm. The all-star line-up of Afrikaans rockers includes Fokofpolisiekar, Jack Parow, Karen Zoid, Francois van Coke, Arno Carstens and Early B. Tickets range from R225 to R350.

The club will also be embarking on the sixth sea- son of their Monday Night Magic show, starting this week and showcasing illusionists, mentalists and magical sideshow acts from local, international and next-generation performers.
Performances of sleightof-hand tricks, illusions and mind-boggling mentalism will continue for the rest of the week.
