Head designer at Moscow’s famed Stanislavsky Theatre, Albina Gabueva, is the person responsible for those, and the sets are by one of Australia’s top scenic designers, Eamon D’Arcy.
I was momentarily annoyed when the skaters initiated their own encore after taking their bows to a standing ovation, but it turned out to be a display of even more daring and gasp-inducing moves, lifts and throws, bringing the show to a thrilling climax.
Performances in the Artscape Opera House are Tuesday to Friday at 7.30pm, Saturday 3pm and 7.30pm, and Sunday at 2pm and 6pm. Book at Computicket.
