Eastern Cape stocks farms for sale
BKB Properties, along with A&R Attorneys, will sell two Eastern Cape stock farms by tender on June 15.
Bloemhof and Silverbrook are situated in Bedford in the Amatola region, a farming district made up of extensive grasslands that support beef cattle, goats, angoras, merinos, and game and promise to be in demand, says André van der Lingen of A&R Attorneys.
Potential buyers may tender for one or both farms.
Bloemhof is “a stunning farm that measures
1 052.8 hectares and is divided into 13 camps with enough water for the activities on the farm. There are also a number of earth dams for rainwater,” says Van der Lingen.
Buildings include a historical five-bedroom dwelling and stone outbuildings, a hunters’ room, a shearing shed, a workshop, a livestock shed and workers’ houses.
Silverbrook measures 1 622.4ha, of which 13.5ha is under irrigation. There are 20 veld camps on the property with water and earth dams. The Baviaans River runs through the property.
The farm has a beautiful four-bedroom house with two bathrooms, and a fullyequipped flat. Other buildings include a workshop, cold room, meat preparation room, garages, sheds, six workers’ houses, a shearing shed and livestock handling facilities.
Tenders will close at noon on June 15. Tender papers are available from A&R Attorneys, at 8 Nojoli Street, Somerset East, or BKB Properties in Paarl (021 872 6533).
