Luxury living in ‘silver mile’
C ONVENIENTLY e q u i d i s t a n t between the city centre and vibrant Sea Point, 169 on Main in Green Point is one of Cape Town’s latest residential developments to offer luxury urban living in a prime location.
The development is really the “silver mile” of Green Point, says Laurie Wener, Pam Golding Properties senior executive for developments in the Cape Region. Wener attributes this to its location within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade, Green Point Urban Park, Metropolitan Golf Course, a Virgin Active gym, tennis courts and the CBD.
“The silver mile is being seen as a place to live and to invest, and 169 on Main will appeal to the discerning buyer who wants a secure, luxury apartment on the Atlantic Seaboard.”
Developed by the Abacus Development Company, 169 on Main is an 11-floor residential block consisting of 50 apartments with enviable mountain, sea, or city views. Each unit has high-end finishes and Smeg appliances, with timber floors in the living areas and carpeted bedrooms.
Residents will enjoy concierge security, private basement parking and full fibre-optic connectivity. There is also a rooftop swimming pool and recreation area.
Apartments in the 169 on Main development start at R3.65 million, including VAT, for a two-bedroom unit with two bathrooms. Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2020.
“We are seeing considerable interest in this long-awaited development with a number of units having been sold already,” Wener adds.
