R100 000 MARATHON BONUS

THE course record for the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in the men’s race was set in 2016 by Asefa Negewo of Ethiopia, who won the race in 02:08:41. Isabella Ochichi of Kenya set the record in the women’s race at 02:30:20 in 2015.

The runner who breaks the record on September 23 will earn a R100 000 bonus.
