Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition)
COMMITTIE LAYS DOWN THE MIRTH
Alan Committie wants to take you back to school and have a giggle along the way in his brand-new comedy, at the Baxter.
The verbally dexterous Committie has been described as “turning something quite ordinary into a hysterical situation”.
is an 80-minute exploration of what we have learnt, what we still need to understand and how we can keep sane in this age of bewilderment.
Using his experience as a former school teacher, Committie will be reeducating audiences about the hilarious and precariously fragile state of the world. He covers subjects like science, history, geography, physical education, sex education and even home economics.
The curriculum fluctuates from flossing to fiscal fragility and bouncing between ball sports and by-elections, as everything is covered in this comedy show.
Today there is a matinee performance at 5pm. Ticket prices range from R120 to R165. Booking is through Webtickets on 0861 110 005, online at www.webtickets. co.za or from selected Pick n Pay stores.
