Property wing bags runner-up position

-

THIS year’s successful SA Property Owners Association (Sapoa) conference in Cape Town culminated in a gala event in which Property360.co.za was announced as runner-up in the prestigious Property News Website of the Year, which recognises excellence in journalism.

Chief executive of Independent Media Solutions Property, Warren Brewis, and executive editor Vivian Warby say they are thrilled with the recognition Sapoa has given the site.

“The site, developed by Afrozaar, is still new on the scene and came up against established content sites in the industry such as SA Property Insider (this year’s winner).

“So to get this journalism excellence accolade is indeed an honour and we are humbled to be recognised by our peers so early in the game. It inspires us to continue to produce content that is unique, relevant and informative,” said Warby.

Brewis added: “With a small budget and a lot of dedication and late nights our small, passionate and dedicated team took our over 20 property print products in to the new world in an offering we feel is both visually appealing and user friendly.

“The thing that makes Property360 stand out is that most content is unique – you won’t find it anywhere else online as it has been written specifically for our property portfolio – so this is definitely not a site where press releases are just uploaded,” said Brewis.

The recognition comes at a time when the site – up to now a purely content-driven site – is being merged with IOL Property and upgraded into a portal with strong content for property searches. This is in the beginning stages and as it progresses users will be kept updated.

“We have built up a good daily readership on the site and have a weekly newsletter with a big subscription base which is only set to improve with our union with IOL Property,” said Brewis.

Brewis and Warby said they look forward to upcoming changes as the content is merged with the search portal of IOL Property.

IOL Property/Property360 general manager Carolyn Savage said: “We are excited about the collaboration. This collective offering will provide the end user with both unique and relevant content on all property-related matters while searching a site with over 250000 listings of the freshest stock for sale and to let in all parts of South Africa.” |
