Property could be used for multiple purposes

-

A LUXURY multi-facility Hekpoort resort and event venue that borders Gauteng’s Cradle of Humankind will be auctioned by Rawson Auctions Western Cape in Cape Town at the end of this month.

Nutbush Boma Lodge, the 22ha property (Portion 368 of “Farm Hekpoort”) is 59km from Fourways, and has magnificent views of the Magaliesberg mountains. Additional farmland of 2.2ha is included in the sale.

Tanya Jovanovski, franchisee of Rawson Auctions in Western Cape, says the property is ideal as resort, lodge, training or conference centre, team building or rehab facility, or setting for church and school camps.

“Its surrounding natural beauty and stunning views, coupled with the high-quality of the accommodation, make it a great venue for weddings as well,” says Jovanovski.

Nutbush Boma Lodge features 12 mountain-view rooms, four wooden bungalows, six luxury tented rooms, eight “beach cottages”, and three self-catering cottages – which are “all maintained to an excellent grade and unique in their own way”. After events at the extensive function and conference facilities, guests can spend leisure time at a mashie golf course, two swimming pools, braai boma, turf cricket pitch and a complete simulated beach area. An orchard of around 700 pecan nut trees produces an annual crop of about five tons.

On the smaller portion of the property there is a three-bedroom self-catering house, staff quarters, storeroom, and a double-storey apartment with four bedrooms.

“Nutbush Boma Lodge has all the necessary formalities and licences in place to function straight away and is a stunning place to stay. The design of the resort innovatively incorporates many diverse atmospheres, ranging from tropical islands to woodland cottages, all in a single setting,” says Jovanovski.

The property will be auctioned on October 30 at noon at 222 Main Road, Rondebosch, with a reserve price of R12 million, but all offers will be considered.
