Looking beautiful is in the eyes

- WEEKEND ARGUS REPORTER

THERE may be an eased lockdown in place but this doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice making an effort to look and feel your best. That’s what the Weekend Argus is here to help you with.

On Friday, Weekend Argus will host a webinar with beauty company Cosmetix’s head make-up artist Laeeqa Yunus and its communications manager Neil Spamer.

The webinar will include a Q&A, discussion and hot tips on what beauty looks like in a world of Covid-19.

“We’re here to discuss how Covid19 has impacted the beauty industry, especially how it has impacted our company directly,” Spamer said. “We’ll also be discussing the background of our various beauty brands.”

Cosmetix is known for producing make-up brands such as Caribbean Tan and Viroclean, as well as importing and distributing international brands including Essence, Catrice and L.O.V.

The webinar will feature Yunus touching on a number of make-up routines and tips, while also speaking on the importance of hygiene and selfcare. “I’ll be discussing a winter look, focusing on the eye now that we have to wear masks,” she said. “Things like how we accentuate our features which are visible and what hygiene practices you should have in place while you are doing make-up now.

“It’s very important now as with this whole pandemic, everyone has been feeling down and scared,” Yunus added. “Looking after yourself, selfcare and putting on a bit of make-up, possibly dressing up a little just helps to boost your self-confidence and it is can be a mood enhancer.”

The webinar will take place on Friday, July 10, livestreaming on the Weekend Argus Facebook page at 3pm. See Weekend Argus on Facebook for more information.
