THE FINANCIAL Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns against dealing with Thulani FX Mboweni, who advertises his services as a trader on social media. The authority says Thulani FX Mboweni is not authorised under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act to render financial advisory and intermediary services. It says you should always check that an entity or individual with whom you want to deal is registered with the FSCA and what category of advice the entity is registered to provide. “There are instances where people are registered to provide basic advisory services for a low-risk product and then offer services of a far more complex and risky nature,” it says.
