Video shows gunman in restaurant killing

POLICE in the Western Cape are investigat­ing a murder after a patron at a restaurant was gunned down.

On Thursday, just before 3pm, a 40-year-old man was shot dead while sitting at Gordon’s Bay eatery Talla’s Tavern.

CCTV footage, which was widely shared on social media, shows a strip along Beach Road and a man seated on the veranda of the restaurant with his back to the road.

On the opposite side of the road, a biker can be seen parking his motorbike. He crosses the road and walks towards Talla’s Tavern.

The biker pulls out a gun, heads over to the patron and shoots him at close range. The gunman, wearing his helmet, waits for the patron to drop to the floor before turning around and leaving.
