FRAUDSTERS HAVE NOT SLOWED DOWN

Remain vigilant and do not let your guard down: fraudsters are still trying to take advantage of the December shopping season. In a recent case a woman was almost persuaded to give a scam caller her credit card CVV number. “It is vitally important to remember that your bank will never ask you for information like your bank card number or CVV number. If you receive this request, contact your bank’s fraud department immediately, then contact the Southern African Fraud Prevention Service,” says SAFPS CEO Manie van Schalkwyk.
