‘NO VACCINE, NO SURGERY’

A HOSPITAL in Boston refused to perform a heart transplant on a patient who had not been vaccinated for Covid-19. Brigham and Women’s Hospital confirmed that vaccination was “required” for organ transplant recipients there. The patient’s father said 31-year-old son had been to the “edge of death” waiting for a heart transplant, and had refused to receive a vaccine on principle. The hospital said it required lifestyle behaviours for candidates to optimise t survival after transplantation. |
