Cele, Sitole spat

PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa says he is concerned about spats between Police Minister Bheki Cele and police chief Khehla Sitole, adding that the tension does not bode well for the security cluster.

Cele was forced this week by Deputy Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli to withdraw his remarks about Sitole.

Opposition parties said the fight between Sitole and Cele was causing ructions in the SAPS and threatening the stability of the country.

Ramaphosa said last week there was going to be a shake-up in the security cluster but he did not elaborate on the changes he planned to make.
