KRISTA Williams made waves on the catwalk after she won the 4 to 6 years category at the Miss Tiny Tourism South Africa 2022 and Miss Tiny Queen of the World 2022 in Pretoria last weekend.

The Grade 1 pupil said she was happy that she had won the two titles.

“I still can’t believe I won. Credit should go to my coach Tiffany-Amber Moses, who taught me very well.

“They were my first major competitions in Pretoria and it was so much fun.

“I met lots of girls there and they all looked so pretty in their beautiful dresses,” she said.

Krista, of Brackenfell, is no stranger to the ramp. She won Tiny Miss Aquamarine 2020, Tiny Miss Spirit of Hope 2020 and Tiny Miss Enchanted Carnival Princess 2020.

She said her love of beauty pageants had started a few years ago.

“My mom wanted me to gain confidence, not be shy and to help others because a large part of modelling is being involved in community outreach.

“I’ve been doing beach clean-ups; making sandwiches and distributing them to those less fortunate; helping out at the Cansa Shavathon events and raising funds for Cupcakes for Kids with Cancer,” she said.

“On stage, I always have a positive attitude.

“It’s all about having fun as everything is not about winning. One should also be happy for those who have won,” she added.

Her mother Lana said: “She is a very creative little girl.

“She is always willing to try new things takes piano lessons at school, plays chess and tennis. She also loves playing with her friends, dancing and swimming.”
