Family bonds a reason to allow children to play video games

-

IN THIS digital age children will always be drawn to video games.

And while gaming may have its downsides, there are surprising benefits, too. One of the top reasons video games can be beneficial is that they teach children how to deal with problems, whether it is figuring out how to find clues or how to beat an opponent.

Video games are often more challenging as you progress and losing sometimes is inevitable. However, this is not a bad thing, as losing is a part of the game and the only way to overcome it is to learn from their mistakes and apply the lessons learnt.

Gaming is also a great way to bond with family and friends, especially if you have a competitive household.

There is a range of games, such as Fifa 22, for the sports-mad.

Games improve children’s handeye

co-ordination. Like most aspects of parenting, moderation is key when it comes to video games.

And always make sure your children have other activity choices too, like sports or creative hobbies.
