Luno, the crypto company founded by two South Africans, now has 10 million customers in over 40 countries. Luno’s latest one million customers were obtained in just six months and over 40% of them were from South Africa. The platform allows customers to buy crypto for as little as R1 in line with its mission to put the power of crypto in everyone’s hands. Chief executive Marcus Swanepoel, says: “There are an estimated 300 million people using crypto worldwide – a figure that is expected to grow as global markets gain better access to the crypto ecosystem. Reaching 10 million customers is an important milestone, which supports a transition towards a better, more fair financial system.”
