THE government and the UN in South Africa signed the UN Sustainable Development Co-operation Framework in Pretoria, this week.
Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele, pictured, said this enhanced the co-operation and commitment of the UN to support South Africa’s developmental agenda.
“It is also a partnership and accountability framework, not just with the government but with the broader society,” he said, adding that the end product was aligned with the country’s National Development Plan 2030 and the MediumTerm Strategic Framework 2019-2024.
He said the implementation of the framework will be done through Joint Work Plans agreed with government ministries and agencies and executed with a range of partners. | IOL
