THE EFF has slammed the chairperson of the Section 194 inquiry into the fitness to hold the office of suspended public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane. Her legal team had walked out of the hearings and she was given three days to find a replacement. This week, the hearing resumed with Mkhwebane having not been able to find a new legal team to represent her. The EFF condemned the resumption of the hearing as it infringed on her right to be legally represented. Seanego Attorneys said that they were still acting for Mkhwebane. |
