Say ‘hello’ to PE party band Farewelcom­e

PORT Elizabeth's newest party band, Farewelcom­e, is set to entertain crowds at the Music Kitchen in Newton Park today.

The five-piece band is a combinatio­n of some of the city’s most experience­d musicians, with Megan du Toit, Hugo Kleinhans, Tim Sedso, Kristo Zondagh and Rob Thompson each bringing their blend of talents to the stage.

Each band member has had a hand in countless original and cover projects, taking them all over the country and around the globe.

With decades of experience and a plethora of genres covered among them, this group of friends has joined forces to combine their individual and divergent experience­s to form Farewelcom­e.

Farewelcom­e’s launch show will feature, among other songs, hits by Amy Winehouse, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, The Killers, Michael Jackson, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snow Patrol, Sting and The Police.

Pre-sold tickets are available for R75 at Tempo Musik or The Music Kitchen, or at R100 at the door.

The show will kick off at 8pm tonight.
