Huge volumes of food grown in greenhouses

REGARDING your special report on the “great land debate,” the Dutch have only a small piece of land, yet they are exporting massive amounts of food to the rest of the world.

They do this by using greenhouses extensively.

If we used their technology, we would probably have 10 times the land (greenhouses) needed for some plants and the most prosper- ous farmers would probably be those using greenhouses along the extensive South African coast.

It has been demonstrated that corn and wheat can also be grown in greenhouses and strains for greenhouses could possibly be developed.
