FURbulous cabaret for animals

Weekend Post (South Africa) - - ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT -

A TRIO of current and former Bay talents will be in action tonight in an Absolutely FURbulous Mother’s Day cabaret at Pearson High School in Summerstrand.

The school and the Animal Anti-Cruelty League are teaming up to present a cabaret in which Reyn Ffoulkes, Sandi Osborne and Marelize “Mo” Barnard will perform.

The Absolutely FURbulous cabaret is at 7 for 7.30pm tonight ahead of Mother’s Day tomorrow – and will be staged in the school hall.

The trio’s playlist is aimed at getting toes tapping and voices singing along so the audience can expect everything from Black Velvet to Somewhere over the Rainbow.

Swiss-based Ffoulkes and Lady Grey resident Osborne are both returning to Port Elizabeth this month – the city where they made their names on stage.

Ffoulkes is now a performer, entertainer, singer and actor in both film and on stage and Osborne was one of the top performers and also active on the professional side of corporate entertainment.

Barnard, the only one of the trio who lives in Nelson Mandela Bay, also has a sublime voice and varied repertoire.

Tickets are R100, from Hilary 083-635-6995 (WhatsApp), or Swain at e-mail: hinoon@netactive.co.za
