The Feather Mar­ket Or­gan So­ci­ety is invit­ing mu­sic lovers to a lunch-hour or­gan recital on the grand or­gan of the Feather Mar­ket Cen­tre in Cen­tral on Thurs­day September 20.

The con­cert will take place at 1pm and will fea­ture renowned Stel­len­bosch or­gan­ist Zo­rada Tem­mingh, who has made a name for her­self as SA’s fore­most or­gan im­pro­viser.

Tem­mingh’s var­ied pro­gramme will last 50 min­utes and in­clude or­gan im­pro­vi­sa­tions on well-known songs such as Joy to the World, Ring the Bells, Were you there, Go down Moses, My Lord, What A Morningand more, or­gan so­ci­ety spokesman Prof Albert Troskie says.

Ad­mis­sion is R35 at the door. Pen­sion­ers pay R30 and en­trance is free for school pupils and stu­dents.
