Yields on g overnment bonds nudg ed down half a basis point t o 8 ,235% on the benchmark 2026 bond, tr ading within Thursday’s levels. The National Treasury will be s elling R800 million ($72 million) in 2038, 2050 and 2025 inflationlink ed bonds in the s ession.
Stocks ended slightly lo wer y esterday, with ir on ore producer Kumba down 1, 15%.
Bullion pr oducers were als o under pr essure, with Johannesburg’s Gold Mining index shedding 0 ,15%. On the up side, Nasper s added 2, 1%. The benchmark T op40 inde x slipped 0.14 percent to 46,163 while the wider Allshar e inde x dr opped 0 .16 per cent t o 51,462. — R euters.
