Yields on g overn­ment bonds nudg ed down half a ba­sis point t o 8 ,235% on the bench­mark 2026 bond, tr ad­ing within Thurs­day’s lev­els. The Na­tional Trea­sury will be s elling R800 mil­lion ($72 mil­lion) in 2038, 2050 and 2025 in­fla­tion­link ed bonds in the s es­sion.

Stocks ended slightly lo wer y es­ter­day, with ir on ore pro­ducer Kumba down 1, 15%.

Bul­lion pr oduc­ers were als o un­der pr es­sure, with Jo­han­nes­burg’s Gold Min­ing in­dex shed­ding 0 ,15%. On the up side, Nasper s added 2, 1%. The bench­mark T op­40 inde x slipped 0.14 per­cent to 46,163 while the wider All­shar e inde x dr opped 0 .16 per cent t o 51,462. — R euters.
