CAIRO — E gypt has r olled cl ocks b ack one hour for the end o f day­light sav­ings time in the f ourth time chang e in l ess than fiv e months.

As of mid­night on Thur sday Egypt is t wo hours ahead o f Gr een­wich Me an Time and six hour s ahead o f Eas tern S tandard Time .

Egypt stopped switch­ing be­tween sum­mer and win­ter time after the over­throw of Pres­i­dent Hosni Mubarak in the 2011 up­ris­ing. In Ma y the g overn­ment moved cl ocks ahe ad one hour as a po wer­sav­ing me asure. It then s witched cl ocks f or the start and end o f R amadan, the Mus­lim f ast­ing month, which this year fell in the scorch­ing months of June and Jul y. — Sap a­AP.
