TAKE ON A NEW FITNESS GOAL
IT’S ALMOST NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION TIME. HERE ARE A FEW POINTS TO BEAR IN MIND WHEN YOU SET THOSE 2019 GOALS
Dayna: Your body is much tougher than you could ever imagine. If there are women who can join the military, run 25km, carry double their own body weight and have no breaks, your 20-minute jog on the treadmill is nothing! Michelle H:
Focus on how you are feeling. Visualise yourself taking part in the event until your confidence is so high that it banishes your nervousness. Sunette: Don’t start flat-out. Go step by step until you are happy with your progression and fitness. Michelle W:
Get advice from someone who’s already in the sport, find a training partner, start off slow and gradually build into it. Lastly, have fun!
