CON­DENSED MILK COOK­IES WITH ROYAL IC­ING AND ED­I­BLE FLOW­ERS

but­ter 115 g, at room tem­per­a­ture sugar 50 g con­densed milk 200 g vanilla ex­tract 1t cake flour 180 g salt a pinch

Wool­worths royal ic­ing mix

1 x 190 g sa­chet ed­i­ble flow­ers, crys­tallised, for serv­ing

1 Pre­heat the oven to 180°C. Beat the but­ter and sugar us­ing an elec­tric mixer or wooden spoon un­til light and fluffy. 2 Add the con­densed milk and vanilla ex­tract and beat un­til smooth. Add the flour and salt, and beat un­til a smooth dough is formed. 3 Roll out the dough thinly be­tween two pieces of bak­ing pa­per. 4 Us­ing a round cookie cut­ter, cut out cir­cles. Place on a bak­ing tray lined with bak­ing pa­per. Bake for 12–15 min­utes, or un­til golden brown. Cool on the bak­ing tray for 2–3 min­utes, then com­pletely on a wire rack. 5 Pre­pare the royal ic­ing ac­cord­ing to pack­age in­struc­tions. Ice the bis­cuits as de­sired, sprin­kle over the crys­tallised ed­i­ble flow­ers and al­low to set.
