500 ml (2 c)

cake flour 5 ml (1 t) bak­ing

pow­der 1 ml (¼ t) salt freshly ground

black pep­per 4 large eggs,

whisked 1 can (410 g)

chakalaka 125 ml (½ c) Ched­dar cheese, grated

Pre­heat the oven to 180 °C and grease a 22 cm x 12 cm loaf tin 1 Sift to­gether the flour, bak­ing pow­der, salt and black in a bowl Add the eggs, chakalaka and cheese Mix well 2 Spoon the batter into the pre­pared dish and bake for 45-50 min­utes un­til done – a testing skewer in­serted in the mid­dle should come out clean
